Ok I'm not gonna lie I'm a numbers gal and I like to see where I'm at when I am trying to decide how I am doing at accomplishing a goal I have set for myself since it's the new year and lots of people are trying to have new goals and taking action I thought I'd share one brief tool I use to check in and see how I am doing on my self-care. This is not inclusive of all the areas I go deeper into on my one-to-one coaching packages or in my upcoming Self Care From The Heart Bootcamp but this is a good place to get you to start thinking about your current level of self-care.

Instructions: For each statement, please rate how true it is for you on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is "Not True at All" and 5 is "Very True." Be honest with yourself as you respond there is no winner or person to compare to here. We all are in flux and things change all the time. This is just about you right now! 

  1. Physical Well-Being:

    • I prioritize and maintain a balanced diet.
    • I regularly prioritize personal hygiene practices.
    • I engage in regular physical activity that I enjoy.
    • I consistently get enough quality sleep.
    • I meditate, pray, journal, or use self-hypnosis regularly to check in with my body to see what it needs.
  2. Emotional Well-Being:

    • I effectively manage my time and set realistic goals.
    • I engage in activities that stimulate my mind and creativity.
  4. Social Well-Being:

    • I have positive and supportive relationships in my life.
    • I set and maintain healthy boundaries in my relationships.
    • I regularly connect with friends and family.
  5. Environmental Well-Being:

    • I create and maintain a positive and organized living space.
    • I am mindful of my impact on the environment.
    • I spend time relaxing in my environment and find if peaceful and calm.
    • I spend time in nature and enjoy outdoor activities.
  6. Spiritual Well-Being:

    • I have a sense of purpose and meaning in my life.
    • I engage in practices that nurture my spiritual well-being.
    • I take time for self-reflection and introspection.
  7. Work/Study Well-Being:

    • I have a healthy work/study-life balance.
    • I enjoy my work/study and find it fulfilling.
    • I can manage and cope with work/study-related stress.
  8. Personal Growth:

    • I actively seek opportunities for personal development.
    • I am open to trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone.
    • I read or watch things that help me grow, learn, or bring me joy.
    • I celebrate my achievements and milestones, no matter how small.

Scoring:

  • 8-20: Your self-care needs attention. Consider focusing on specific areas that scored lower and explore ways to improve your well-being.
  • 21-35: You're doing well, but there's always room for improvement. Identify a few areas to enhance your self-care practices.
  • 36-40: Congratulations! You have a strong self-care routine. Continue maintaining and refining it to support your overall well-being.

Remember, this quiz is a self-assessment tool, and your well-being is a dynamic and evolving aspect of your life. Regularly check in with yourself and make adjustments as needed.
